Benefits of Stinging Nettle

Stinging nettle is used to help a number of ailments. Studies have shown it has antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-ulcer, astringent and analgesic capabilities.

The plant has been used most commonly throughout history as a diuretic and for treating painful muscles and joints, eczema, arthritis, gout, and anemia. It is used primarily to treat urinary issues, as well as allergies and joint pain.

  • Osteoarthritis. There is evidence that taking stinging nettle by mouth or applying it to the skin might reduce pain in people with osteoarthritis.

  • Nettle tea is excellent for boosting metabolism and immunity.

  • Nettle tea is excellent for people who face water retention issues.

Making Nettle Tea

Gather fresh Nettle Leaves or purchase dried Nettle Leaves..

  • Boil Hot water (2-3 cups)

  • Pour over or put in Nettle Leaves and steep for 10 minutes. ...

  • Drink.
