Putting a clove of garlic under your tongue every morning on an empty stomach or Rubbing on your feet could be considered old wives tales. People used to wear a garlic necklaces around their neck to ward off ailments. The folklore surrounding garlic is endless.

These are not considered as factual, but they may help.

  • Bad Dreams - Rub garlic on the soles of the child's feet

  • Pulling out Splinters - Place a piece of cut garlic over the splinter cover with a bandage

  • Could regulate blood pressure

  • Could regulate blood sugar levels.

  • Could combat sickness, including the common cold and flu

  • Could improve cholesterol levels

  • Contains Antioxidants that may help prevent Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia

  • Could improve bone health

  • Could help with lung infection:

  • Could be a blood purifier

  • Could be an anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic helper

  • Could help with your skin and hair

  • Could strengthen the immunity of the body against cancer - Several studies have indicated an association between daily consumption of garlic and prevention of stomach and colorectal cancers.

Cautions:

  • Asthma patients should not consume garlic - there may be side effects

  • Garlic should be avoided before surgeries or medical operations.

  • Don't eat more than 2-3 garlic cloves in a day without consulting a doctor

  • Remember - Garlic has quite a smell connected with it also
